Hair and Beard:
My gnomes hair and beard were
worked in the same fashion. I cut long strips of white yarn, about 10 inches
long. I then used the loop method and added hair around his hat, and about six
rows down after his hat on the back of his head. Then add strips of yarn for his
beard all the way up to his sideburns. After you have added all his hair and
facial hair take a wire brush and comb it all out. Once it is nice and fluffy I
trimmed his hair, and I cut his beard in a V shape.
Assembly:
Stuff your dolls legs and feet firmly,
and sew the soles on your feet. Take your four ears and sew two together
back to back, and sew them on your doll. Sew your two moustache pieces
together, with the larger ends together and sew it on your doll. Fold your
turtle neck in half length wise and sew on your doll. Sew on your shirt
sleeves. Sew on your eyebrows.
Fold your boot cuffs length wise
and sew on your doll. Sew on your arms. Sew the nose on your doll. Stuff your
hat firmly and sew it on your dolls head. Now you have your own little gnome!
