Bicycle Bell Cozie

First I want to mention that this bell cozie does muffle the bell a bit. When I first made it I covered the majority of the bell....and realized that it muffled the bell too much. So I ripped it apart and started over, testing the bell as I worked until I was happy with how it looked and sounded. The bell still works great, but it is a bit quieter. Now grab your supplies, and lets make a bell cozie! This pattern is really easy, and works up very FAST!

1mm crochet hook

DMC threads - (A) yellow #742 (one skein), (B) turquoise #964 (two skeins), (C) purple #917 (one skein)

 Pattern

Rnd 1: Starting in the middle of your bell cozie with (A) do 6sc in a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: 2hdc in next stitch x 6 (12)
Rnd 3: Change to (B) and hdc, 2hdc in next st, [hdc, 2hdc in next st] x 5 (18)
Rnd 4: Change to (C ) and hdc x 2,  2hdc in next stitch, [hdc x 2, 2hdc in next st] x 6 (24)
Rnd 5: Change to (A) and hdc x 3, 2hdc in next stitch, [hdc x 2, 2hdc in next st, hdc] x 5 (30)
Rnd 6: Change to (B) and hdc x 2, 2hdc in next stitch, [hdc x 2, 2hdc in next st] x 9 (40)
Rnd 7: Change to (C ) and hdc x 2, 2hdc in next stitch, hdc, [hdc x 2, 2hdc in next st, hdc] x 9 (50)
Rnd 8: Change to (A) and hdc x 4, 2hdc in next st, [hdc x 4, 2hdc in next st] x 9 (60)
Rnd 9: Change to (B) and hdc x 5, 2hdc in next stitch, [hdc x 5, 2hdc in next stitch] x 9 (70)
Rnd 10: Sc in back loop x 70 (70)
Rnd 11: [Sc x 5, dec] x 10 (60)

Row 12: You will now be starting the strap that will go across the back of your bell, sc x 2 (2)
Row 13-32: Turn, ch, sc x 2, fo at the end of Row 32 (2)

Flower (Make 3)
Row 1: With the colour of your choice, ch x 15 (15)
Row 2: Turn hdc x 3 in the second chain from your hook, [sc, 3hdc in next stitch] x 6, sc, fo (28)

Assembly
Roll up your flower and sew it onto your bell. Then sew the other side of your strap onto your cozie. Weave in your ends and trim them. Now to fit the cozie on your bell unscrew the screws and put the cozie in place. That's it your all done!!
